Nimantrana is a small, art-focused wedding invitation studio working out of Bangalore. We make invitations that carry your names, your celebration and the warmth of your family’s welcome.

Our name comes from the Sanskrit word nimantraṇa, meaning invitation.
For us, it carries the feeling behind the word: making a place for someone in a celebration that matters to you.
A mark of coming together.
Our floral mark gathers four petals and smaller dots around a centre. We see a reflection of the people an invitation brings together, each with a place in the celebration.
The name’s literal meaning is recorded in the Monier-Williams Sanskrit-English Dictionary. Belonging, and the way we read our mark, are our own interpretations.
Where the
thought began.
The thought began at a friend’s wedding. Keeping track of the celebration meant returning to the invitation, again and again, to look up the next gathering. Almost missing the events we had come to celebrate stayed with us.
Guests are making time to celebrate with us. Helping them know when to arrive and where to be should be part of the welcome we offer.
An invitation image sent on WhatsApp can announce a wedding beautifully. We wanted something people could return to easily, with the celebration’s details gathered together. That experience helped shape Nimantrana: art for the occasion, and thoughtfulness for the people joining it.

Illustration, typography, colour and space belong together. A name needs the right place. A flower or an architectural detail can bring a feeling close to home. We draw from Indian-inspired art and the tastes of the people we are making the invitation for.
